I made this dark chocolate fondant mug cake from the book "Mug Cakes chocolate" by Sandra Mahut that I got from my brother at Christmas! This was the first recipe out of the book that I tried plus the first mug cake I ever made. The recipe is for 1 mug cake.
- 30 grams of butter
- 8 squares of dark chocolate, the chocolate should be at least 55% cocoa (40 grams)
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of fine sugar
- 4 tablespoons of plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
Melt the butter and the chocolate in the mug in the microwave. The book says you should do this for 40 seconds at 800 watts, but for my chocolate this was not enough so I repeated this process a couple of times until all of my chocolate had melted. Beat the mixture together and then let it cool. One by one, whisk in the egg, sugar, flour and baking powder. Cook this in the microwave for 1 minute and 20 seconds at 800 watts… and your cake is ready! Allow it to cool for 1 minute before eating.
JUMMY. Enjoy this great mug cake. The taste gets better the further into your cake… 🙂
I loved the idea of a mug cake, but I'm finding it a lot of trouble and work for only one mini cake. I'm impatient and like to make lot of things at once;)
