Christmas Dinner – Wild mushroom Tortellini with mushrooms sauce

Christmas dinner 2015, fourth course, Wild mushroom Tortellini with mushrooms sauce!

Amazing, tasteful dish with tortellini and mushrooms. We had never done pasta during the Christmas dinner before. Also a great recipe for your everyday dinners.

  • 400 grams wild mushroom Tortellini
  • 200 grams mixed mushrooms
  • 1 onion, in dices
  • 200 ml cream
  • 2 tablespoons chives
  • 2 tablespoons walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons pistachio nuts, chopped
  • Salt and pepper



Clean the mushrooms and cut into big parts. Bake the mushrooms with the onions. Deglaze with the cream and let boil for a few minutes. Mix with the chives and nuts and flavour it with salt and pepper. Boil the tortellini according to instructions on the package. Serve the tortellini with the sauce. Enjoy!

Italian Night

My dear friend always wanted to organize an Italian night in which we would cook Italian and have some fun. So when her birthday came up, my other friend Melissa and me decided to give her a basket full of Italian stuff with a gift coupon to have an actual Italian Night. So on the first of December the time!!



We made a red pasta sauce with cannelloni past. The receipt was improvised at that moment but inspired by the following recipe.


This was a lasagne with pumpkin, recipe from the Lidl.



We made bruschetta and a carpaccio on toast.


We invited all our parents to come and enjoy all the food we made. We had an amazing time with good food, drinks and amazing company.
